Why have I received an obscene message from EE Community? I am not aware I had even joined EE community.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@Duncan6 : You need to view your PMs online on this site by clicking on the envelope from your avatar @ top L or by going to https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/notes/privatenotespage , not thro' the notification (for that's all it is) email. Then you will see a Report button.

I have received an inappropriate private message from a user: Apieceofhappine
I have phoned EE customer service who has advised me to log my complaint on here.
They tell me that they cannot remove me from the community.
I would like my community account disabled or deleted please.
Thank you.

I had one yesterday from a Lovecake after searching the EE community blog about charges. Wondered what the hell was going on. Don't rate EE security much

@James_B : How is it that all these trolls have suddenly turned up? We don't usually suffer from this.
Why are all the trolls mentioned in this thread still live on the Community?

@markandrews933 Like you these spammers have joined the EE community and you can not stop someone from joining. EE can not stop someone from sending a private message and you can only report it after the fact. You do have the option yourself to turn off private messages but sometimes a EE staff member might need to speak with you privately and that’s what this should be used for.

Once people report them, hopefully EE can look at them and see if there's a pattern, maybe ban their IP ranges or something.
It's been a while since I registered, does EE send an email to verify the email is valid?
