No Internet connection

I can surf the web, send and receive E mails download and install programmes but when I try to run them I  get the message NO internet  or No internet open please check your internet connection. Can any body help please

Is this from a mobile or are you on EE Home Broadband?

 

If you are able to surf the Net & use email you must have an Internet connection. Which programs in particular are failing?
