Got a replacement SIM card for new phone as the one in the old one was wrong size.  Message shows that the number is unknown.  Any idea how to resolve as I'm not sure whether I need to activated the new card which doesn't seem to work either

What is it that's saying "unknown number"? Often phone's own About Device reports this yet functionally it works in every way.

Can  it make & receive calls & texts?
