Money for nothing

I am bitterly dissappointed in EE community.

I had to wait over 2 months to receive a pay as you go sim card. When I eventually got it I was unable to use it straight away but I was paying every month. I think I paid over £80 and then received a bill for £46 to cancel the sim that was never and still has never been activated. It was my first smart phone as Im not really computer literate or able to navigate android very well at all and all this in a pandemic, not great is it.

@imac204  If it’s on PAYG you are not billed to cancel as it’s not a contract that you agreed to pay to the minimum term.

this community has nothing to do with issuing you a EE Sim card as this not customer services.

Where did you get the device from ?  Is it network locked to EE or is it a unlocked device? What device is it ?  did you put the sim in the device the correct way round?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@imac204 , why did you have to wait so long for your SIM card? Why not contact customer service when you did not receive it, instead of just sitting back waiting for it. It never takes two months for a SIM card to reach its destination, should only take a few days, and as @Chris_B has written it would not cost you that much if pay as you go, so sounds like you ordered a contract SIM card, but you will have to ring customer service and discuss this with them, as they can see what is going on with your account.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
