iphone 6S not charging at all

I have a iphone 6s (its on contract with ee, not due upgrade til April 2022)  Last night put it on charge as I always do, set alarm for the morning.  When I woke it was completely dead!   since i have tried to charge it to no avail!   tried multiple chargers still nothing.  all I everytime i put it onto charge is the battery with a red section on left side of battery.    can anyone offer any guidance please?    thank you

Can you try putting the phone on charge and completing a soft reset while it's plugged in?
