Hi, I use my hotspot for my laptop when in uni due to it being an open wifi network within the uni.
Normally my hotspot would connect and everything would be fine. However in the last 2/3 weeks I’ve noticed when I try connect it says on my laptop “unable to connect to device” I thought it may have been the laptop so tried to connect it to another persons hotspot and this worked. So I then thought it was my phone. I’ve spoken to apple and they have tried many methods from resetting the network setting on my phone, the laptop, and they’ve don’t an analytical test on my phone and it’s come back fine. They’ve asked me to speak to EE as they think it could be to do with them. Now I have unlimited data so wasn’t sure why it wouldn’t work. I could understand if it was because my data was limited ect.
just wondering if this has happened with anyone else?

Hi @Nevieb110401 ,
Is any other device able to connect to your hotspot?
Has there been any recent change such as to supported authentication protocols or the password?
Have you already tried forgetting SSID from laptop and reconnecting again?

If your using the 5Ghz WiFi Band, then Set it all up using the 2.5ghz WiFi Band then Test again and start fresh with settings from there.
