Hi I’ve just taken out an upgrade with mobiles.co.uk and asked to keep my EE number. They have said I can but EE say I can’t. My phone is due to arrive tomorrow and I’m worried I’ll lose my number. Is there any way I can check

@Nsha If you upgraded through mobile.co.uk then you retain your number.

Is my reply from someone who works for EE as I’ve spoke to two people from EE, one didn’t know through chat, and one said it can’t be done through another company even though I said it was an upgrade with mobiles.co.uk

Hi @Nsha
Welcome to the community.
I do work for EE and can also confirm that what @Chris_B posted is correct.
If they've processed an upgrade, you'll keep your number. If they have processed as an additional line, that won't happen automatically and we can't transfer a number from one contract straight to another.
I'd recommend speaking to Mobiles.co.uk if you have any questions or worries about your order.
Thanks
Chris 🙂

WiFi calling should work on Apple iPhones purchased from other retailers, @Nsha. However, we can't guarantee it.
Our WiFi calling help page recommends speaking to the retailer at the point of purchase who should be able to confirm.

It's one of those things that we can't guarantee, @Nsha, because the phone isn't purchased directly from us.
But, generally, it works.
