Iphone 12 pro delay + lockdown

Hi, can anyone help me?

I ordered the iPhone 12 Pro 128gb in pacific blue on the 23rd October with a 2 week wait. By this Friday it will be 4 weeks I've been waiting. To be honest I'm not too fussed about the wait, it's annoying, but not much I can do!

However, my phone is set to be delivered to my local EE store - St James Retail Park in Dumbarton, Scotland - and I am now worried I may have an even longer wait if Nicola Sturgeon today announces the West of Scotland will be moving into tier 4 (basically another lockdown) on Friday. I'm assuming all EE shops will close.

My question is, will I still be able to get my phone? can it be redirected to my home address ? I've already waited 4 weeks, I just want my phone before Christmas 😂

Thanks for any help anyone can give!!

Sarah x

EE have provisions in place that if stores closes any order that was set to be delivered to store will be delivered to your address registered on your account.

@BrendonH thanks for your reply!

That's a bit of relief anyway haha!

Hopefully I'll be given some more information on when my phone will arrive very soon !

I’m now starting to get a little fed up. Ordered the iPhone 12 pro 128gb in pacific blue on 23rd October with a 2 week wait in delivery. We are now on week 4 and still no phone..

the poor guys in my local store were also surprised to see how long I have waited, but there wasn’t much they could do from there and to contact customer services.

not much help there either !! Looks like I’ll still be waiting longer even though people who have ordered after me have already received their phones !!

is there anyone that can shed some light for me? My local council is going into tier 4 (local lockdown) and I’m hoping my phone will be here before Friday 6pm, but I’m not holding my breath!

Starting to get really irritated with ee now. Greatly disappointed with the level of customer service I have received. I ordered my phone on the 20th of October however no one actually put my order through until a week later 🤷🏼‍♀️? and was told I would get it two days later. I was then told it would be two weeks and then told it would be a month. I am now a month on and still non the wiser. They are quick to take your money...  I have been told that it’s based on first come basis however why is it that other people that ordered it after the 20th have received theirs ? I have had no update to say how long it will be I feel like I am constantly having to ring up to see what is going on. As a good will gesture they have given me £20 back into my account. I think I should get my deposit back!

Hi and welcome to the community, @kheathcote

I'm sorry to hear that you had a problem with your original order. We are processing on a first come, first served basis.

We will deliver to you as soon as we receive stock from our supplier.

Thank you for your patience so far.

Chris

@kheathcote it is first come first serve you state you placed the order on 20th October but the order didn't go through until the week later.

So your order wasn't placed on the 20th more like around the 27th if it was a week later.

It’s disgusting isn’t it. I’ve waited just over 4 weeks now for my silver 12 pro 128gb, ordered 23rd Oct. tracker changed over 2 days ago to ‘dispatch in 24 hrs’ and still nothing!?

Hi @Kkiln44

We will deliver to you as soon as we receive stock from our supplier.

DPD will be in touch when it's ready to deliver.

Thanks for your patience so far.

Chris

Not much help really, everyone’s patience is wearing thin. The tracker is clearly useless too given that it’s now 72 hrs since the 24 hour dispatch alert! Sorry but it’s getting ridiculous and ‘we will let you know when we have stock’ is no use to me either.
