Does it recognise texting ALL PACKS or ADD MINS to 150? If it doesn't I reckon it can't do phone packs & add-ons & is committed to being a MBB data SIM for ever.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

for ALL PACKS i get a list of packs including the TEXT01 pack giving 10MB of data, 100 mins and 200 texts and others ranging upto PACK30 for 60GB data, UNL mins and UNL texts.

i have tried sending TEXT01 but that doesnt work and i get - another message starting with just so you know we have a new range of packs available...then...at the end of that message it says - If you wld still like to move to TALK01 please reply YES

I reply YES and get another message starting with - If you change to the £1 pack, £1 will come out of your credit and your new allowances will start immediately, However, any remaining add-on allowances will be lost. To confirm reply YES

I send YES

and then i get -

Sorry, there is an issue at the moment and your pack cannot be added, please try again later

...and ive tried the above multiply times all in the space of 2 days and with the exact same above message.

for ADD MINS i get this -

For £3 add 100mins that last upto 7 days, just reply 100MB WEEK. For £5 add 100 mins that lasts up to 30 days, just reply 100 MINS.

I tried sending 100MB WEEK

and i get -

and then i sent TALK01

and then i get -

If you change to the £1 pack, £1 will come out of your credit and your new allowances will start immediately, However, any remaining add-on allowances will be lost. To confirm reply YES

Well, it doesn't seem to be a MBB data SIM but it's just not working.

Yeah even thought MyEE recognises the number as a "4gee wifi number" 😞

i search some more and was finally directed to start hotspot on the phone and connecting to it - in my case my laptop and browsing to -

http://add-on.ee.co.uk/purchase

and was presented with many ££ options to 'top-up' or 'buy' and to test i chose -

200MB | 30 Days
£2.00
200MB of data which will expire after 1 month. It can be used in the UK & EU with 4G speeds of up to 60 Mbps.

and that worked and reduced my current topup balance by £2 and gave me -

- 200MB
- 100 text

but no minutes 😞

Good find! I take it back. Now it seems it's definitely a PAYG MBB data SIM & can't support phone PAYG packs & add-ons. I guess the text service just replied blindly w/out checking what type of SIM is asking.

No, no mins (or texts) add-ons for data SIMs. You just pay for them on a per-unit basis.
