If I will order a pay as you go sim card with £15 pounds on it today, how long will the £15 be kept on it ready to use any time? I am abroad and I need to use up the money from my ee account.. a Month? 3Months etc..please? Is anyone know?)

Thank you.

Hi @Ivi1

I hope you're well and having a nice time away. Where is it you're at if you don't mind me asking?

If it's just credit you have rather than a pay as you go pack, then it will stay on there as long as you need it. However you'll need to make a chargeable transaction every 60 days.

You can find out more information about this our I Didn't Use My Top Up Credit Why Has It Run Out page.

Thanks

Chris

It could be "forever" or it could be just 1 month depending on how you use it.

All EE PAYG SIMs come primed with a recurring Pack of allowances ready to bought out of your PAYG credit as soon as it is sufficient. If it has the £15 Pack it'll take your £15 as soon as you use it.

Text STOP PACK to 150 before you 1st top-up & you can use the SIM for calls & texts but not data as normal PAYG at standard per-unit rates paid for out of your standing PAYG credit balance.

To save the SIM going into hibernation due to lack of use, just remember within every 179 days (~ 6 months) to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from any Pack or Add-on you might have.

Oke cool, I might sound extrablond now.  Make it somehow easier for me.

I need the best option to keep my money as long as possible in any forms,

suggest me the best please. Also as I have mentioned no phone available for me now so only online I can change something and as I have noticed the chat has dissapierd. What would you choose and how would you do so. I did not see email or any other kind of contact if even possible such. Is it lasting how long if I really just order a pay as you go and sometimes make my friend send an sms on it just for the sake of life.

Thanks4your time

@lvi1 Do you already have the credit on your phone, or are you wanting to top it up?

Thanks

The simple answer in-a-nutshell is:

  • Do nowt when you 1st get it & the £15 lasts 1 month.
  • Stop the pack at once & the £15 will last until you spent it all on making calls & texts. Receiving texts costs you nowt.

EE has no email contact at all. Live Chat is not available for PAYG.

Hi Chris.,

It is like,

I have cancelled my monthly plan because I wanted to change to be pay as you go.

Than the chap on the chat said I need a new sim card to be able to put money on it. Before the conversation on chat I have made a top up online because I did not know that I will need a new physical sim card, so because I am abroad I cant actually pick up a card, the money is not possibly loaded onto my monthly plan card I have remaining in my phone, so the money has stacked on my online account. So ...

When your cancelled your monthly contract plan you should've asked for it to be transferred to PAYG. Then you wouldn't need a new PAYG SIM.

Hi RaySpe,

When I was cancelling my monthly plan, I did not have money on anywhere yet. After a month or so as  far as I remember it came up that I needed to call England  for some reason huu If I would remember exactly.. I remember on chat I think I was superblond too, so on the other end the guy or girl I have leaded not maximally clear. The matter I have made my plan to be cancelled, when he/she thought I already have a Payasyougo I suppose. After I have made my monthly cancelled by him/her, it have had to take a month for the change.

Than after this time when I have noticed the card does not work, I come online popping up my account and loading money on it on Pay as you go and wondering why it does not work. Comprende? After I have been chatting again, and they say  it is not possible to transfer this money, I need to personally pick up a Pay as you go card from any shops available. I am abroad I cant personally pick up.

?Thanks
