How do I switch from 2.4ghz to 5ghz frequency on my smart hub router

KenWeb

How do I switch the frequency on my smart hub router so my devices run on the 5Ghz and not the 2.4Ghz frequency. I am using a wired connection with TP-Link powerlink modules.

@KenWeb   You need to login to the router as admin and separate them so they password for each frequency.  You just select the frequency you want to use

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@KenWeb : To separate the frequencies, look on the Advanced Settings / Wireless page of the SH where there is a button at the top to Separate the Bands. Turn it ON. Then the 5GHz SSID will appear starting with "5GHz-" & the 2.4 GHz SSID not starting with "5GHz-". Then you will be able to choose which SSID your devices connects to.

I've separated the two frequencies and saved. But the 5ghz option is not showing in my 'available networks' box on any of our devices.  In Wi-Fi settings, they all continue to show a 2.4ghz connection. How can I change it to 5?

That looks OK. Any device capable of 5GHz should see in its networks list both the 5GHz SSID starting with "5GHz-" & the 2.4 GHz SSID not starting with "5GHz-",

I have the latest smart router (white). I don't have the option to separate bands.Screenshot 2021-03-20 at 09.39.01.jpg
