Having trouble with new IPhone and messaging!

Is anybody having trouble with a new I hone. On EE I still have coming up for my old telephone number. My messaging does not work at all but have seen there are problems.

@michaelhamilton  if you upgraded then you retain your old number you don’t get a new number as it’s an upgrade.    When you say messages are you talking text messages ?iMessages ? WhatsApp messages, Facebook messenger messages ?

Yes I am talking text message. When I go to numbers I am listed with an old
one and a new number. I seem to be paying for two numbers. Plans to contact
EE to pay one plan. My new Iphone I bought from Apple just simply got a 5g
sim from EE. I will contact directly if possible to talk about my account.
I do not want to pay two accounts. I had noticed messaging (text) was
causing a problem with Iphone 12s anyway.

If you go to settings, then click on your account at the top of the page there is a section Name, Phone numbers, email. Click on this and check what number is associated with the account. You may need to change it here.
