Just been sent a EE Data Sim for use in my MiFi.
Intend to buy a 6 Gb 90day top up for use when we are away in motorhome.
When does the 90 day period start?
When I buy it the top up?
When I put the sim into the MiFi device?
or hopefully when I put it into the device and turn device on to use it?
Do I have to activate it?
Do I get a countdown on MyEE showing number of days left?
Agree a lot of questions but have got really bored trying to find answers on the website.

Hi @RegG
Welcome to the community.
Where did you buy the SIM from? I can't find the details on our website.

Ah OK, I've just found the page you must have ordered from, @RegG
You top up, then choose the 90 day 60GB add-on through your My EE account or through http://add-on.ee.co.uk/.
The 90days starts from that point, and you should be able to monitor the time left and data remaining on the same link.
Chris 🙂

So what your saying is, wait until the previous data package which may not be EE runs out then put in new EE card, top it up and away I go.
Crazy system, why cant I have a card already paid for whose 30 days or whatever start to go down as and when I connect it to EE.
Do EE do prepaid data cards, if so where do I find the info on them?

Hi @RegG
Thanks for coming back to us.

Hi, Effectively I am more confused than I was before I started, even after a couple of good links from Leanne.
So I went to the add-on page as directed on the bumph that came with my sim and the first thing it said was turn off my WiFi, now that is difficult as I was on my home PC which has a ethernet connection to my router and no WiFi!
Given that I am trying to load up a MiFi dongle router whatever you want to call it, I fail to see how this is going to work, if I turn off my phones WiFi how does that help, not on EE anyway. Not turning off my router and why would I, so as far as i can see this is a total waste of time unless someone can clearly and simply walk me through loading a EE sim with Data that I shall use in my MiFi when I am away from home.
I am not trying to offend anyone but believe me I am not dumb, worked for 40 years in IT so have some idea of what is going on but you guys are not reading the questions and answering them, you are just giving stock answers to build up your numbers to improve your rep.

Hi @RegG,
To access add-on.ee.co.uk/, you'll need to connect to the internet via your EE SIM.
If you are doing this via your PC, please disconnect your ethernet and connect to your MiFi device's WiFi network.
Once connected browse add-on.ee.co.uk/ on your PC's web browser.
Hope this helps.

Hi James_B
Thanks for the info.
Am I right to think that I can do nothing on EE App or online via the data device until I have a EE data sim in my device so that EE can verify it and start the countdown?
Cheers
