Fast early hours, slow Daytime

I have a Huawei B525 router with elevated external Poynting A-XPOL aerial, this stays the same 24/7/365.

I get speeds of 37mg of 4G at 4am and I get less than 1mg, sometimes less than .5mg at 9pm. I purchase data monthly but I can’t use it because I’m not an owl.

besides over subscribing what other reason is there for this? And what is the answer. Definitely nothing wrong with the equipment.

@Prydderch   Have a look at THIS to see if there is a known issue in your area.  Other than that it could just be a lot of users on that same local mast as you during the day.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I already have done this, thanks, my post code is LD1 6EY, it is very rural Wales just the odd sheep an cow, there are 20 static caravans on the same mast.
no issues recorded in the area.
Any other ideas?

different providers?

thanks.

Hi @Prydderch

Thanks for coming to the community.

I have checked the area provided using the Coverage Checker and can see this is the outcome for 4G within that area:

You'll get great coverage outdoors and good coverage indoors on 4G-enabled devices.

If you are not receiving this I would recommend giving us a call so our technical care team can look into this further.

Katie.

Since my last comment somehow disappeared in which I said I had reported the issue and that I had considerable experience in the telecoms industry, I have had a reply saying the issue was being addressed and a solution was imminent. I have just received another reply to say it is hoped a solution has been successful ( ??? ), er............ no, I am still waiting for the experts to advise me! Although I am convinced a solution will not be found and it will be allowed to die quietly. But, I am the ever optimist, and will gladly eat humble pie if anyone can pull a rabbit from the hat.

i appreciate any efforts being made to assist.

thanks

Hi @Prydderch

Thanks for coming back and letting us know.

I have sent you a private message for more details.

Speak soon,

Katie.

I have found an acceptable solution to this issue. I configured mr Hauwei b525 4G router to work with a PYG giffgaff sim, and I can now achieve at least 8 mg at the “ peak” usage time and almost 40mg in the early hours, This is the final proof of the cause. I feel I had to do this because I did not receive the promised assistance that I was assured of.

please feel free to ask any questions if you are having these same issues.

cheers

Sorry to hear that, @marcinxxl

Did you report a problem on the network status checker?

@Prydderch I'm not familiar with the router directly, but is there anywhere in the software that it'll let you view the eNB that you're attached to?

Have you only ever tried your setup in that location?

On the face of it this does sound like an issue with cell loading that Tech-C/S should be able to investigate.
