Hi, All
Recently went over my minutes on a monthly contract due having to use my phone more to contact family as I have a relative in hospital with the corona virus, had a notification text and checked my account and was over by £8.65,so I bought what I thought was more minutes, but was infact data which I never use.in the meantime I used another 200 minutes of the 250 minutes I thought i had added on,checked my account again and saw my bill was now £112,12. Contacted EE and was given a discount of half the bill after explaining my mistake.I have been a customer of T mobile/EE for last 20+ years. This was a honest mistake and has still cost me more than my phone bills for a year with the half discounted payment. We all hear about phone scams but the phone providers run the biggest scams of all charging 65p per minute.

@davet4 While I do sympathise with you EE have done something to help you because of going over your limit. To be honest EE didn’t reduce that payment. EE is not responsible for how you use that device and purchasing add ons and making sure it’s the correct add on is down to you.

That should say “ To be honest EE didn’t have to reduce the payment”.
