EE to EE porting

Hi all,

I've been trying to call EE but unable to get through to customer service.

Does anyone know if I will have to port existing number to a different network and then back to EE if I want to take advantage of a new contract deal and keep the same number.

I know this was the case last time I got a new contract but would like to know if there is a more convenient way now.

Found a great deal with Mobiles.co.uk still on EE network that I'd like to switch to.

Thanks in advance

Mark

Yes, it's still the way.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

@Mark990  You could call C/S and ask them whether they can offer you any deals to stay, but otherwise @XRaySpeX has nailed it.

Yep, just called CS and they try to force me into paying a higher price to upgrade via EE. Told me that it's not possible to buy from Mobiles.co.uk and keep number on Family sharing account although thats what I did last time.

They are obviously still playing silly buggers so probably best to buy phone from Apple and just stick in the existing SIM

Cheers
