Hi,
After a bit of advice. My EE contract is due to expire on the 29th of June and my phone is currently locked to EE. From what I can make out I would be charged £8.99 to unlock the phone before this date as I'm still in contract.
I've ordered a new SIM only contract with Vodafone and requested my PAC code from EE. However, if I transfer my number over to Vodafone now I would need to pay the £8.98 to unlock the phone. If I wait until 29th June, when my contract with EE has come to an end, to transfer my number then I would be able to unlock the phone for free. However, would I then end up having an extra 30 day notice period with EE after using the PAC code on 29th June, or would my contract end on this date?
Thanks,
Paul

@qz The moment your number is ported to voda your contract is over with EE and the device will be unlocked free of charge.
