Download app via google

I am having difficulty bin downloading my ee app on my xiomoi redmi 4 note phone. My app was working on this phone for last four years but when I come to update it comes up with an error" this phone is no longer compatible for the app"

So why can't ee keep the old version that worked fine. Please fix
