Do I need to change sim if I move from 4G to 5G

I’m looking at upgrading from a 4G sim only to a 5G sim only plan. Have upgrade phone from iPhone XS to 12 pro with apple. Will I need a new SIM card for 5G or can I just move my current sim to my new phone when my new plan starts?

Hi @Tobydave52 

It is your monthly plan & phone that dictate your eligibility to use the 5G network, and your SIM carries your subscription.

If your existing SIM fits in your new phone, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to continue using it.
