My direct debit failed on Tuesday due to not having enough funds, I've not received any texts about it from ee, but I have read that they will attempt to take it after 7 days.
I have the funds now and am able to make a manual payment via the app. My question is, if I make a payment now will the direct debit still be re-attempted? Or will it see that I've paid and not try again.

Don't make a direct payment or you'll end up with 2 payments. It's too late to stop the DD re-attempt being made by EE.
