Data gifting

Hi

i was recently sold a 4gee wifi mini under the strict understanding that i would be able to transfer data to it from my mobile plan from an EE shop in Birmingham.

Am i right in understanding that this isn’t actually possible and i have in fact been miss-sold a product by EE?

Is your MBB router on PAYG or a 30-day contract plan? You can't gift data to those.
