Data Gifting

I currently have unlimited data allowance and have just received a text message from EE saying I’ve used up 80% of the data I can gift. But I only used data to personal hotspot for a few minutes, 4 days ago. How is that possible?

Welcome to the community. 🙂

You get these messages even if you haven't gifted data, or even plan to.

The rules on unlimited plans say that you can only gift data from the first 100GB that you use. You get a message to say that you've used 80% (80GB) and 100% (100GB) of your giftable allowance.

You can still continue to use your unlimited plan and you'll still be able to use personal hotspot after using 100GB.
