Christmas Double Data Offer

Hi

Does anyone know if the new double data offer will apply to packs bought with an existing PAYG sim?  The T&Cs seem to suggest they would, but when I click 'change pack' in the app, only the normal data is shown, not the double amounts.

Thanks in advance.

Really, I've not heard of those before.

Ah, OK! I looked there but I'm sure they weren't there before or I overlooked the crossing-outs.

Hi, I have just recently obtained a new PAYG sim, I have paid for a £10 Xmas pack, and have activated it, but my data has not been doubled, it is still showing as 5GB, when 10GB was promised.

Have I done something incorrectly ?

Hi @Roberts8889,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Did you activate your SIM within seven days of purchase?

James

I ordered a new Xmas PAYG sim card, and this week, selected and paid for the £10 sim pack, however my available data is still showing as 5GB rather that being doubled to 10GB as promised. Can you advise why this is ?

@Roberts8889 : Have you looked in your Add-ons for the other 5GB?

Yes !

I assume inserting the sim into the phone and paying for a pack within 7 days, counts as activating it, am I correct ?

There is nothing in my Add-ons other than 10% off and 50MB initial allowance

Partly! You need to have used it for something concrete like making a call or text.

I have made calls, but maybe not used any data yet as on wifi, will this make a difference ?
