Changing mobile when abroad

Hi everybody

I have a yearly contract and paid monthly for a certain amount of calls, emails etc. Have a nokia 3. Problem is the battery is dying and I will be in Spain for the next few months. Can I just buy a phone in an electrical shop and transfer the sim over. My friend says you cannot transfer over to a Spanish phone.

Thank you

Brendan

Hi @Brendan2 and welcome to the EE community

Providing the phone you buy in Spain is unlocked, and will accept your EE SIM, I don't see any reason it shouldn't work on the Spanish networks.

I would recommend you try your SIM in whatever phone you want to use, before you purchase it. And also make sure you purchase from a reputable seller that isn't likely to report the phone lost or stolen at any future point.
