Change to EE keep number

Ive just filled everything out, typed in PAC code picked a sim only plan etc. I have a few questions

Will i get a new sim in the post? How do i set it up once it arrives? Will i be without my number at all?

Hi @CaitOD.

 

Welcome to the EE Community.

 

SIM cards are usually sent in the post.

 

All you need to do when the SIM arrives is put it in your phone to activate it.

 

If your number is still working on a SIM card with a previous network, it'll continue to work until it's transferred over to EE.

When you receive your new EE phone & SIM, you'll need to power them up initially and they'll be on a temporary number.

 

If you've provided a PAC from another network during the ordering process, this will usually be actioned a day later and transfer your number to EE.

 

On the day of porting, it's entirely normal for calls and/or texts to behave strangely during the day as the transfer takes place - this is only cause for concern if it continues into the evening.
