Can't send or receive texts PAYG

My android phone has suddenly stopped sending or receiving texts. I can still receive incoming calls, but not incoming texts and I can't send texts Either. It was working fine and I was texting back and forth with someone and then suddenly my texts would not send. I tried to check my balance but texts to 150 will not go through either. I then tried to top up online and that did not work either. I tried to call 150 and it said I did not have enough credit to make the call (I am currently outside of the UK) I think September 2020 was the last time I topped up, but I'm not certain. My SIM is an old T-Mobile one if that makes a difference.

Did you receive any messages from us recently about your phone going into hibernation?
Do your calls go through OK?

IrI haven't received any texts about hibernation and I can still receive calls fine, but can't make them

Could you try connecting manually to a different network provider please, @Sarah9090?

There are only 3 networks available to me in the country I am currently in, and orange (which I was already on) seems to be the only one I can connect to. The other two say 'unable to connect. Try again later' @Christopher_G
