I recently upgraded to an iPhone 12 mini, if I am connected to WiFi and go out of range I cannot use 4G even though a full signal is showing. 4G will work if I reset network settings but this is becoming tiresome constantly adding and deleting WiFi details when needed as it should switch over smoothly as my iPhone 8 did! I have a 100GB plan and so so issues with no data allowance. Even if I toggle the WiFi off in settings 4G won’t work unless network settings are reset. I’ve checked content restrictions are off. Starting to drive me crazy now - can anyone help?!

Hi @Spicyrach
Can you just try toggling flight mode rather than reseting network settings. Does this help?
Thanks

Hi @Spicyrach
In addition to @Northerner suggestion, what is happening when you try to make a call or use mobile data?

Hi @bristolian @Northerner thanks for the reply! Toggling airplane mode on/off makes no difference. I can make/receive calls and texts/WhatsApp’s but nothing else. When trying to access any app or safari page in 4G mode I get the swirly circle thing for ages and a message telling me no internet connection or a progress bar that doesn’t move. Unless of course I reset the network settings then 4G works fine until the next time I need to connect to WiFi for something!!

Thanks for posting more information, @Spicyrach
I'd suggest speaking with our tech support team. Your phone should auto switch from WiFi to 4G when you're out of range.
