Buying Data for PAYG MBB in tablet or router

I have a tablet and a router, both with 4GEE PAYG MBB Data Sims.

when I try to buy more Data in MyEE App I am only offered to purchase Data Add-Ons which last 30 days or 90 days. I don't see any way of buying a monthly recurring PAYG Pack, unlike on my 4GEE PAYG phone.

My query is:-

Is it possible to buy PAYG Packs on 4GEE MBB Data Sims?

Hi @j0hnh

Any of these pay as you go packs and SIMs can be used in compatible tablets and mobile broadband devices.

Have you thought of a pay monthly SIM only contract? There's some great 30 day and 24 month options on there.

In the iOS MyEE App there appears to be an error on the

Pack15, Get Add-Ons,

“PAYG”

“Add-Ons”

“UK & UE Data”

“10GB Add-On (30 day) £13”

Lower down it says

“500MB for 7 days”

(contradiction in both quantity and period)

Similarly in the

“2GB Add-On (7 day) £8”

“5GB Add-On (7 day) £10”

The footnote again says

“500MB for 7 days”

(contradiction in the quantity)

@j0hnh4rv3y   Sounds like they are pre-loaded with data and are not PAYG sims.
with PAYG you can not purchase an add on that lasts over 30 days.  What you have is a sim that has data already on it and that data will last a period of time until used up.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks for your reply Chris

You are correct, they were purchased as pre loaded data sims a year or so ago, when I still had my phone on T-MOBILE 3G PAYG. But since upgrading my phone to EE 4GEE PAYG I've found that the monthly Packs are convenient.
I was wondering if it was possible to do similar with my tablet and router but t seems I'll have to consider using up existing data add-on(s) and then get new EE PAYG SIM with monthly PACK.

Is it ok to use this type of SIM? I thought they were for use in mobile phones only?

EE PAYG Data SIMs don't have recurring packs, just data that lasts either 30 or 90 days & can be renewed manually as add-ons. For packs you would need to use an EE PAYG phone SIM instead which you may use in an MBB router if you like.
