Broadband not working

Hi there, my broadband has stopped working after i tried to move it to a different plug. I tried to re start it several tines but still not working. Can you please assist. Thank abk you.

@JoseAndre85 : Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.

What do you mean by a 'plug'? Are you trying to plug the router into a diff power socket or are you trying to connect it to an extension phone socket? Some master sockets are wired intentionally so there is no BB signal at extensions, only voice.

What lights are showing on the router?

What does it say after you log into the router:

  • For a BrightBox: in the Internet section on the initial Status page or
  • For a Smart Hub: on the Advanced Settings / Broadband / Internet page?

Obscure your names & any numbers in the BB Username but post the 1st 2 parts of the IP addy. 

Does the landline phone work? Do you get a dial tone? Does it announce your correct no. when you dial 1470 17070?
