I have bought a new S10 device, unlocked. My old device is a S7 Edge.
Ok put the micro SIM from S7 into S10 so the number came over as well. How can I bring my S7 back to life as a personal device as opposed to my business device S10

@Farley2112- You just need to put a Sim card in this and that can be a pay-as-you-go or a Sim only contract so you can use that device for calls/text/data

But wouldn't that mean I would have to use the same number as my new S10?

I should have added that I put the micro sim from my S7 into my new S10. I then bought a pay as you go sim from giffgaff to put into the S7. So my S10 has the number ported over from my old S7 and the S7 itself says that the number is 'UNKNOWN'
What do I need to do in order to get a different number for my S7?

Hi
I have recently bought a new handset S10 to replace my S7. Both devices are unlocked and not attached to any contract. I took the micro sim out of S7 and put into my S10 and so the number moved from S7 to S10. I bought a new pay as you go sim card from giffgaff for the S7 but I want a different number for it and when I go into settings it says that the number is UNKNOWN.

The number in the settings page means nothing. It's a gimmick. Can you call out as normal and text?

Hi
No, I am not able to call out or text anyone. What does this mean?

Hello @Farley2112-.
Your GiffGaff SIM should come with its own number.
Do you have the packaging still?

Well do you have credit on the GiffGaff sim? Do you pay the monthly charge? You won't be able to call/text without this.
