Hi everyone,
Maybe an obvious question but I’m visiting France & Switzerland for the next few months & I’m wondering if my watch will work on its own without the need to carry my phone with me.
I believe historically this was not possible when in Europe, it only worked independently from a phone in the U.K.
Has this changed now? Can I leave my phone at home & still make and receive calls from my watch when I’m not in the U.K?
I have 2 contracts for, one for watch & one for the phone and it’s an Apple Watch series 6 gps +4g, with 10GB data specifically for the watch.
Thanks in advance!
Chris

Hello @ChrisHW ,
Welcome to the community,
Unfortunately, the watch will not work abroad on its own, you will need to have your phone with you for it to work, as roaming is not available on the watch. It will however work with the phone nearby, as it uses bluetooth.
