Hi, I ordered my Apple Watch SE on Thursday 17th Sept and still to now have no delivery information just order confirmation. Spoke to EE 3 times, my order was cancelled once for some reason and re-ordered so I was bumped back down the queue. I last spoke to EE on Wednesday who said it was coming into stock on the Thursday but yet still no delivery info for me!! Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Hi @Janice14,

If your watch is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, you'll receive a text from DPD this evening or tomorrow morning.

I'd recommend downloading the DPD app which will often show tracking details before the text arrives.

Hope this helps.

James

I’ve had the same info from ee. I’ve been told it would have been dispatched by Friday but yet to hear anything. When I spoke with customer services they had no clue what is going on.

I don’t mind waiting but the inability to provide more info is a bit disappointing. The assumption would be that ee know their expected incoming number of devices and they allow orders based off that. In practice that doesn’t seem to have happened.

@charlesgray1989  Totally agree. I have no problem with waiting but the lack of knowledge from EE themselves is really disappointing.

I’m certainly not holding my breath with it arriving tomorrow/Tuesday!

@charlesgray1989   EE don’t know what they’ll get until they receive them Apple.  And more importantly they don’t know what types they’ll get in until they receive them.  Your asking EE to give you information about the type your ordered but EE can not answer or give information about that until one can be allocated to you of that type.

Let’s say you ordered a red 44mm but EE receive only 40mm but they don’t know what they’ll get until they open the shipment from Apple so they can not  say when you’ll get it when they don’t know what they are getting in each shipment from Apple until that shipped has been received and processed.

Your comment may be factually correct but the website does not reflect that. If EE don’t know a delivery date or can’t possibly estimate (which they can’t if they don’t know what they are getting from Apple on a day to day basis) the they shouldn’t put “despatch within 7 days”.

Every message I seem to see about the watches on the forum currently are people unsure of when they are getting what they have paid money for and being given information which can’t be accurate as EE don’t know what is coming in each day. Every response I seem to see being given back is to be patient and wait your turn.

I’m waiting on a device I’ve ordered and just want a little bit of an idea so I can plan with work when I need to be at home as the DPD times don’t suit a 9-5 worker.

Setting reasonable expectations should be a given

You may be right but it does seem a bit odd that Apple are sending random shipments of product to ee. I would assume apple would give detailed shipment information so ee know if they have received everything or not. I would also expect them to know in advance the information for multiple shipments worth of products. I expect ee know exactly what they have coming in and when.

If you are right though and they have no clue then I would advise ee not to give timelines to those exchanging their money for products. The result is that people are left unhappy.

i don’t speak for everyone but I imagine having to wait isn’t the major issue here, it is being told to wait a certain amount of time and then not being contacted to inform them of the changes to that wait time.

I totally agree, every manufacturing company I’ve ever worked for have production and shipping schedules so it I would be surprised if the information wasn’t available.

It’s really bothering me that the watch I’ve ordered is stated as In Stock, available to order, despatch within 7 days but the advisors on Twitter and the phone tell me my order is awaiting stock, which means it can’t be in stock. Mixed messaging!

Whilst I agree with your response unfortunately it doesn’t help when their website says ‘Usually dispatched within 1 working day’. Fully appreciate not knowing what they are getting but to convey on time scales on there website that could be unrealistic is a bit poor.
