Apple Watch 7 experience

So I picked up my Apple Watch seven from the Apple Store today. Set it up with no issues and I had the usual impeccable service from EE. Ever since the series 3 I’ve had a data plan on my watches and gone from a 3 to the 4 to the 5 to two 6’s and the now the 7. I set it up in the Apple Store and called EE to transfer my data plan. Spoke to a charming young lady called Kelly who couldn’t be more helpful despite the fact that she had a cold and within 15 minutes my data plan was transferred and working. I’ve always found EE to be absolutely fantastic when it comes to sorting out these types of requirements and I’ve never had an issue transferring data plans.
Thanks EE….you rock.

So for those of you who need to know how to transfer a plan. This is what I do and it works for me every time.

1) Unpair from my old watch and keep data plan
2) Pair new watch with Wi-Fi switched off on the phone
3) When I reach the mobile plan bit, I get a message in the watch screen saying “Nearly there” and to call 150.
4) Call EE and path-find through to Tech Support for Phones,

5) Talk to and provide charming young lady with EID number
6) Whilst she is transferring the sim to your new watch, go back to your watch and cancel the  data plan set up process on the watch and fInish the  pairing process
7) Young lady will tell you to reboot the watch

8. Open your data plan via the phone watch app….it will report an error code 12
9) Reboot phone. Young lady will call you straight back.
10) Check data plan using app on phone….data plan showed as connected.
11) Switch  off phone, disable Wi-Fi on watch to test.
12)Nice green reception icon

13)  Young lady calls back to check everything is ok

14) Thank young lady for a great service
