Activating SIM card from abroad

Hello, due to coronavirus mess I am stuck in Russia and need to port my number to EE SIM card which is not activated. Is that possible to do anything to activate it?

Welcome to the EE Community,

 

unfortunately you can only activate the sim on EE's network while in the U.k.

This is not a solution. In the current climate, EE should be able to activate sim cards remotely. I dont see why it can't. How are we suppose to get sim cards to the UK if we are not allowed to travel.

@Fati007   It’s the fact you’ll be on a roaming network that makes it impossible.  EE will activate it it’s just your sim doesn’t receive the information because you can not have roaming enable until the sim is enabled. Catch 22
