Activate sim iPhone XR

Hi,

 

I received a new iPhone XR yesterday and EE sim.I can’t make or receive any calls. Any outbound calls stop and inbound calls say “number is unavailable “ Any help????

@Pompey1    Was this an upgrade or new contract ?   Have you tried restarting the device ? 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

This is a brand new phone and a brand new sim not an upgrade. I’ve turned off and restarted the phone on multiple occasions

I can see the network showing, this is not a transfer of a number, brand new phone, sim and number
