We’ve recently switched from standard broadband WiFi to 4G EE wifi. Whilst the connection speed is good, and an improvement on the standard broadband speed we can receive in our area, we are using more than twice as much data to access the same services.
We used to use less than 1gb per day - we’re now using approx 3-5gb per day!!! This is for streaming tv, and connecting phone and laptop for app usage and general browsing.
We haven’t changed how much we use the internet per day - but why is data usage so much higher with 4g WiFi?
We’re still within our 14 day cooling off period - it seems likely we’ll be cancelling the service as at this rate we’ll run out of data half way through the month.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi @SuCa.
Welcome to the community.
I'd recommend having a read of our Mobile Data Usage support article, which gives an indication of how much data you may use on certain things.

Hmmm. Would have been useful to have this info prior to being sold the product & being recommended that there would be no way we’d exceed using 100gb of data with our current usage.
Thanks
for the response.
