I've received a text from 1168 offering an EE data upgrade. Is this genuine?

@karenth  do you have to reply back with the command word of YES/Now or something like that  ?  if it is then yes it’s genuine.

Hi @karenth ,

It's not possible to confirm the veracity or safety of a text message by the reply which it requests that you give.

If you have any doubts, I would recommend to check with an online chat that the offer is genuine or wait for an EE representative to confirm on here.

@mikeliuk   The number is 1168 that’s an EE number.  I wouldn’t of said it was ok otherwise.  The reply back of YES/NOW is only to activate the offer.  If it’s asking for more information then yes or now then I wouldn’t trust it myself so that why I put that.
