Yeah I’ve spoken to the guide and she says she could see my order on the system, I may be overthinking but it’s just the fact that I feel like I have no physical proof or confirmation, especially hearing that emails have been sent out already

Yeah sadly - in my experience, more so with EE, no email no confirmed order! I don't really get when they mention open orders - some confirmed with emails other not. Makes no sense! Rule of thumb, if I order something from a company - I want an email confirmation of my order! They are obliged to send one! No email means ultimately, they can turn around and simply say order wasnt confirmed and being an ‘open order’ the system itself (once confirmed orders start shipping) may just cancel open orders whereby there was no email confirmation (which applies the order to the system) that was sent!

It’s a crazy system tbh. Fingers crossed it works itself out and you get your order. 🤞🏾

Yes exactly! It’s not difficult for them to just send an email after receiving payment, it’s such a strange system they’ve set up. I had to pay to change my delivery address too which was annoying but we’ll see on release day- the guide on the phone said to expect delivery within 14 days from release so we’ll see!

After pre-ordering the last 6 iPhones through EE, I’ve picked up on a few things that might help manage expectations:

  • Advisors give different answers. What you’re told can depend on who you speak to and where they’re based.
  • Some advisors just say anything to end the call. I’ve had plenty of conversations where it was clear they were making things up on the spot.
  • Order numbers don’t mean much. Having an earlier number than someone else doesn’t guarantee you’ll get the phone first.
  • Don’t order online. Every time I’ve done that, it’s caused more delays. Calling in has always worked out better.
  • Pre-ordering right as it open Pre-orders open isn’t a golden ticket. Even if you’re on the website at 1 minute past, it doesn’t guarantee a launch-day delivery, despite what you might be told.
  • The Executive Team doesn’t really resolve anything. They’re just the complaints team under a guise.
  • Stock figures online are misleading. Trying to work out when your phone will arrive based on what the site shows is pointless. I’ve ordered within minutes (phone/online) of pre-orders opening and still waited until October.
  • DPD is the only thing worth watching. Download their app and wait for the notification. Connect your mobile and email to the app. Phoning EE won’t make your order move faster, no matter what they promise. “I’ve just spoken to the warehouse” 🤣
  • Ironically DPD themselves are actually the only part of this process who are solid. Once your phone is with them, it’s straightforward.

So confusing time on the phone today. Meant to pay £100 to upgrade but they said nothing showing on account so okay great but I did have to pay for delivery & ill have to pay to return my phone to Likewise for the trade in?

Hey Poppy welcome back again this year. I think everyone had to pay for delivery. And also the trade in returns we have to pay for as well which I think is a joke tbh. We don’t  send the phone back they add on the cost to your next bill and remove any discounts! Also im concerned this company they’re using, never heard of them, who could miss-conditioning a phone and we end up bearing the cost of their error with no way to verify and or confirm they’re wrong!

As long as it wasn’t just me! It was Likewise last year because I had to ring for my returns pack. I’m more worried about having to use Royal Mail to post it 😂

They were very “open” about delivery dates “it will be delivered from Friday and onwards”

I only went for the Pro in orange so we will see

You should defo get your order on Friday.

As for the returns for the trade in - im going to send mine via Special Delivery to ensure they get it and I can prove to EE it was received by them. Im very skeptical when it comes to these types of companies as there is always opportunists within them!
