Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

It happens every year. I’ve done a pre order since the 13, and every year this thread is made, every year the systems go down due to demand.
The 13 is the only one I didn’t get on release day, I got the 14 and now the 15 on release day. The only thing I can see I did differently to people on this thread is not phone them to make sure the order has gone through, I trusted that it went through fine and it did. Placed my order on Saturday evening, they requested I call to confirm some details so I did (the details were making sure the delivery address was correct) and left it. Didn’t chase it, didn’t go on chat to see it had been picked or not.
I can only assume the people on the live chat or on the phone don’t see everything, so maybe when they’re ‘fixing’ the orders, they’re in fact making new orders, thus pushing the delivery time back.

It’s not unheard of for customers to expect THE TRUTH from a company they just signed a legally binding contract with.
EE hound me if I don’t pay my bill on time, yet act surprised when we do the same when they don’t hold up their end of the agreement.

How is that different to any other company who is essentially a middle man?
I completely agree with you, but people who take these CSs word as gospel makes me chuckle.

So I preordered at 1303 online just 3minutes after release and have just been told on the phone that customers can expect their new device within 28 days.

Man 28 days!? I swear this is getting worse. Trying to get my iPhone Pro Max 1TB I've never experienced this trying to get a phone before... but I guess this is my first ever iPhone!

this happened to my mate, ordered a PM, contract sent said PM, tracking said “IPhone 15”. He rang last night and escalated it to a manager, EE have spare stock for circumstances exactly like this, he got his Pro Max this morning. Make sure you complain. Do not open or use the one they sent you. Be adamant that you are complaining and don’t get fobbed off by lazy CS.

I was promised delivery on launch day by 3 different people and DPD also have been and gone. I spoke to the executive team who do there usual, well it still could be on the way rubbish. They refused to admit they were lying by telling customers they would receive devices on launch date and instead blamed Apple and then quickly said afterwards “but we’re not blaming apple”. I asked them if they thought it was a good idea giving customers false expectations but they just denied they did this. Absolute farce when this is coming from the highest office in EE you can speak to. I’ve cancelled my order, I’ll wait till they come into stock at Apple and not be fixed into a 24 month contract.

To those that were out of contract on a previous 24 month plan (iPhone 13), preordered on 15th but not getting their new iPhone for up to 28 days. Remember to contact EE and get billed correctly! Your previous plan included the phone cost over 24 months, therefore you should only be paying for you monthly plan and not the phone (as you fully own that now!).

I pre ordered on the date of pre order. The EE systems were down when I called. But I got a call back at 7.55 on the pre order date and I got an order confirmation email the same day. I received a text message yesterday saying everything’s ok with my order. I ordered the iPhone 15 Pro Max in blue titanium 256GB. But I still haven’t received any update on the delivery from DPD or EE
