Google Image search suggests it might be related to NordVPN.

Have you got NordVPN installed?

This image keeps popping up; but I don't know whether to trust the link or not. There is no mention of ee with the picture. In the past, messages and images pop up but I know that they are scams. Is this image a genuine link to ee?

Thanks for the badges ... but I don't want badges. I just want to know whether I can trust the link that is associated with this image. There is nothing that identifies it as ee. In the past I have come across pictures and links that are put there by hackers. Is this image and the associated link OK?

Hi @ThomasEdison Thanks for getting in touch with us here at the Community.

Where is that image showing please? Is that displayed in your My EE account?

No, it just popped up from time to time. I didn't click on it. Moreover, I had been receiving spoof "virus warnings" prior to seeing this image. This image did not appear in my ee account ... it just appeared on the screen. Since I opted for "Deny" in Safari for notifications, the spoof virus warnings have stopped. It may well be that the image has stopped, too. There was no ee wording associated with the image; just this text: "Online security starts with a click." then "Log in" and then "Sign up". It all looked innocuous but I did not click on anything. Thanks in advance for your help and advice. TE

Thanks for letting me know @ThomasEdison

Are you running any VPN's at the moment, or have you had a VPN on your device in the past?

iPad does not connect to WIFI.

The iPad in question (my wife’s) is mini (5th generation) with 17.6.1. In “Settings” there is a tick beside it in her WIFI. But there is no WIFI indication in the top right corner of the screen next to the battery charge indication.

My own iPad, (8th generation) with 17.6.1 is OK.

And yes, both iPads have Nord VPN installed. My Mac (MPB with OS 15.00 also has Nord VPN installed. The VPN is working fine on my iPad also on the Mac MPB)

I note what you say about the image being associated with Nord VPN and have just seen it there. So guess that image is benign.

Where should I go from here to get my wife's iPad back in order? (Thanks in advance) TE

One thing that I forget to mention ... about 2 days ago there was a problem with the router. (So-called "Livebox" from Orange.fr)

To get this fixed I had to reset the router by pressing a biro onto a hidden, recessed button at the rear of the "Livebox". This fixed the problem with the router. But could it have upset my wife's iPad?

Glorious news!

All is well.

My wife took into her own hands and has deleted the Nord VPN icon from her iPad. It now functions as before ... great stuff ... and a big thanks to everyone who has helped. Will not touch anything for now but guess the VPN should work as before. Somehow things got screwed up.
