Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Initially ordered on pre-order day at 13:00, confirmation received at 13:07.

I then called at 8am on the Saturday and was told the order had been lost due to the system issue so was put through again. Completed by 08:10 and received the confirmation at 08:23.

I’m hopping to the Apple Store later to pick up and case so won’t be setting it up for a bit but will let you know how it goes.

I see mine was confirmed at 8:30 Saturday morning so surely I’m close 😂

My order is 0033071 for white.

From Pie chart, 256GB is the largest volume ordered. If envisioned for same scenario to all providers and Apple store orders, that will reflect. 

Should have ordered 512GB 😅

Completely agree! EE biggest mistake with this release is lack of transparency! For anyone working g in a customer facing role being asked for clarification or specific info, it’s ok to not know. Just be honest with the customer and it generally won’t be a problem. The ‘mixed messages’ saga to me is what’s caused a lot of frustration with us all. A simple statement like; “thank you for pre-ordering with us. We do not know stock availability prior to launch. As such you may not receive it on release day but rest assured we will try to keep you updated on your order and aim to get it too ASAP”. Has I been told this - fine no worries. I’d go about my day and as and when an update or a DPD confirmation comes through would be a welcome surprise. But blatantly lying and as a company having zero collective info or communications is very poor!

If it didn't mean me only receiving a handset sometime in 2046, I'd change my plan.
