Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Nothing was really offered as the guy in the phone said that due to the website being a broken mess on Friday, orders didn’t go through. Plus I had to pay almost £7 for delivery which was a surprise to me!
But I have my proper confirmation now which I’m glad. Just not sure when the heck I’ll be getting the phone
So if anyone hasn’t received an email from EE with a 003 in their order number, get in contact with EE to check if your order did actually go through!

14 DAYS?! I thought orders were being delivered this Friday after last Friday's launch.

I ordered on the 15th of September about 8pm - iPhone 15 Pro Max natural titanium 1T - just noticed at the very bottom of the email it says "expected dispatch in more than 28 days" 😭

@x12gar interesting... mine had no date at all but I'm on a different league as ordered the 15 Pro NT 256 and that's in stock

Mmmmm… I just read on my email: “Remember any upfront payments will be taken when your order is accepted but your monthly payments will start after your new device is dispatched.”.
Well my plan changed today and in the app it says contract start 21st September 2023, which to me says logically it should’ve been dispatched today I’m guessing? I’ve had nothing from them and it’s being delivered to store, but that’s got to be hopeful. I have it pre ordered with Apple too and that’s guaranteed for tomorrow, I just don’t want to take it if I know this is coming.

My email says "usually despatched within 14 days" which is a standard estimate.

I’ve just checked and in the past for orders that aren’t EE, it’s been the same situation, nothing until the day, gets dispatched I not the morning and then same day delivery, I’m not holding my breath though

TEXT from EE this evening...
Hi from EE. We just want to let you know that everything is on track with your order for your iPhone 15 Pro Max, and it should be delivered in the timeframe you were given when you placed your order. (28 days) We are working hard to get your iPhone 15 Pro Max to you as soon as possible, and there is no need to call us to get an update on its progress. We will be in touch with further updates before we despatch your phone.
Besides the incorrect spelling of 'dispatch' it basically says don't bother calling us about your phone because we don't know when it's going to be delivered... tut.

Spoke with someone at EE on their online chat
This is what I got:
Please know all the variant of the iPhone 15 will be launched by Apple on 22nd September and only then the devices will come to us so that we can initiate the delivery from our end on first come first serve basis.
Not to worry, as you have informed that you have ordered the iPhone 15 pro max the delivery of the device will be done only after the launch.
You will get the tracking details sent to your number 24 hours before the delivery will be attempted from DPD.

@DANIELRAMM that the most BS ever...
To everyone and based on previous years, calling or live chat won't change a thing (for orders that are confirmed and don't need further action like "please get in touch").
They will tell you the most random thing just to get you off the phone/chat.
If you get the DPD confirmation you're good, and if your plan changed you're good too.
Anything else, don't even bother as they can't do bleep
