Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

I called someone again this morning and they were extremely helpful regarding my order of iphone 15 PM in white.
He’s informed me that all orders will be showing as open orders until the phone has been physically picked and is being transported by DPD. Until that status changes, they cannot see where your phone is physically sitting in the queue.
He told me that the 28 days should be what I stick to, however apple tend to overcompensate and he’s under the impression that I will get the phone in a couple of weeks.
If you’ve been told 28 days when ordering, I would expect delivery up until the 28th day.
I’ve asked about being made a priority since I was messed around by EE so much over the weekend, but there is nothing they can do to bump you up in the queue to receive the device quicker.
Unfortunately, I think those of us that have been told 28 days will just need to sit tight and wait. Seems to be out of EE’s hands at the current time.
As i said, he’s under the impression that the 28 days will be overcompensation to keep people happy, and seems to be worst case scenario. They also cannot look at what the timeframe was when you placed the order, only the current time frame, which for every single phone is now at over 28 days.

Whaaat !!!! I ordered on Friday, wasnt able to confirm over the phone until saturday… I was told today over that chat that mine is in open sale and it wouldnt arrive until first week of Oct😪 Luck is on your side indeed!

To be fair, they've lied to you.
They can put your order number into a system and it tells you if the order has been picked , my order is showing Open Sales order but picked for 15 Pro - I guess some people don't have access to all the systems but it's deffo something they should be able to view.

Please share a screenshot of your EE tracking haha..
I think this might be false as that's impossible to have ordered yesterday and have the 15 PM with DPD already.

your best bet is to ring 150 and speak to Upgrades. They seem to have the right systems to help

Pretty obvious we cant believe a word they say. I hope someone high up in EE is reading this, they should be so proud.

I spoke to 2 different people and the told me the same thing.
Your order will show as an open sales order until it is physically picked on the system. Then it will show as picked and in transit. Until that time, they cannot see what order the phones are picked in and it’s a first come first serve basis.
I’ve got a complaint open with them at the moment so don’t think they would be in the mind to lie to me considering that I’m already complaining regarding bad customer service.
