I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.
I still can’t access any order tracking for either of the orders I placed. Still only have the XKO numbers; nothing else has been sent. I guess I’ll just have to wait to see if I get DPD update on Thursday for the phone and next Thursday for the Watch. It’s a bit frustrating that I can’t track to see if I need to make plans to be at home but 2 CS agents have said they can’t provide me with a 02 order number to track so …. 🤷🏼♀️
Always worth installing the DPD app on your existing phone as it should be able to alert you to any deliveries in advance. I'm still getting the "wrong order type" when checking, and if it doesn't change by Wednesday I'll probably give the EE team a call.
I too am concerned, I was on the phone with an advisor at 13:01 and off the phone by 13:17, agent on chat said I ordered in time for release day delivery, so am I safe in assuming this is pretty much a release day guarantee?
When I accidentally ordered a new line the device would be shipped on release day, but after I corrected it to be an update it was it anymore possible on release day. Seems if you are a new contract it makes more money so you your device early. If you are upgrade you have to threaten to leave before you any sort of priority.
