I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

not to be horribly argumentative or anything but when Apple say the shipping date for your order is 16/09 in my experience that's exactly when it is. EE Seem to just be accepting all the orders saying the ship date will be the 16th and just expecting to let a certain number of people down.
If the order page for the iphone said "delivery date: best efforts depending on how many we get" then fair play, that would be a realistic best efforts statement, but since it says "Available to pre-order
Expect delivery to you on day of launch." then that's what they're committing to and that's what should be done. Anything less is very poor customer service indeed.

I did the pre-order for the 14 Pro Max 256GB Deep Purple within the first half hour of pre-orders going live. I I only received an order confirmation with my account number with no order number at all anywhere, no XKN/XKO or 002 number. I went on live chat to CS and they gave me an 02 number, but says this order type cannot be tracked yet. I spoke to the same live chat team over 3 different people who confirmed the order went through, but I’m still a bit skeptical about it all

We're all waiting and seeing what happens on Friday.

On my order now it says order confirmed and awaiting confirmation under delivery which will hopefully go shipped on Thursday

You are correct in that they will be related and shipped out on the 16th but there is no guarantee that you will receive it on this date as it’s all based on stock levels that are received, but hopefully you will be lucky enough to get it then or very soon after.

I've ordered around 13:10 on the launch day, after some difficulty with order page being queued and errors, however Order finally went through and received confirmation email few minutes later with xko number. I did call 150 earlier, they confirmed order has gone through and processed but there was no other tracking number, I've been told I would receive my new phone within 21 days, updates for the order status will be sent to me via email and txt message.
So I'm guessing if you didn't manage to order right on time on launch day or even earlier, EE doesn't have enough stock for the release day delivery for the rest of the orders.

Hi @Treble I have both the xko ref no and 12 digit order no but still not able to track. CS are saying that order has gone through but I am a bit sceptical. Can you share how you are tracking the order?
