I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

yes I agree. i was going to skip renewing my contract and just buy the phone outright but sadly its end of october delivery!

I got the same email. @Kyemaloy Does it mean that our orders have gone through? Is there anything else we need to do?

Just messaged ee and told me my order has gone through but it’s first come first served. I doubt i will get mine on launch date

Yes tried both with phone numbers and email but no joy.

Spoke with CS via chat again but they are clueless.

I was also told most of the EE staff are off due to the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth.

I had a bit of a nightmare with my pre-order. I went online about 12:57pm and it let me go and select my phone (iPhone 14 Pro Max) and my upgrade and I had a confirmation email at 13:02pm. It said I will have my phone on launch day.

On Saturday at 08:32 am I had a text from EE to say it was cancelled. I rang up to see what happened but systems were down so the lady on the phone said she'd call me back. She called me back and was saying that there was a £100 fee that needed to be paid - when I went through the order online it didn't give me the option of paying the £100 or adding details about trading back my iPhone 13 pro max. When putting the order back through she said delivery will be within 21 days now 😞 I asked if there was anything that could be done as I already had my order completed and delivery for launch day was quoted on the website, said there was nothing that could be done! It's a bit crap on EE's behalf but it's not the end of the world. 

Order is confirmed now and i'll just have to wait and see what happens! 

 

Oh forgot to say that when she went to take payment for the £100 the system was saying that I didn't owe anything so I think the fee had been scrapped. Not sure!

Such a shame this happened to you @seeseeie 

I normally order over the phone but the CS i spoke with initially to place the order over the phone was adamant i need to pay delivery charges and he cannot waive it off and yet orders placed via EE website or app comes up with free delivery lol.

Mind you i was happy to pay the early upgrade fee of £500 as i was keeping the iPhone 13 Pro which i sold for £735. 

My second line which was free to upgrade i was told i cannot upgrade online as they cannot add F&F over the phone and had to be via chat or online order.

Funnily that ordered got stuck in system. Rang then 5 times to get answer and eventually they put the order through again over the phone and even added the F&F code which they initially said they cannot do it over the phone lol.

Ive been with EE since 2010 and with T Mobile before that so almost 20 years. My orders always get screwed almost every year.

Iphone 14 pro max - pre -ordered 9th Sept

Am I right in saying these are release and sent out on Friday 16th Sept?

Or are these now into October for delivery ??

Depends on stock levels, some will get theirs this Friday, there's no guarantee that you ordered early enough on pre-order day.

They're dispatched on a first come first serve basis so the earlier you ordered the earlier it'll arrive but it sometimes can take a few weeks.
