I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

Just had a chat on the app messaging. and what he said:
"Thanks for the confirmation Max. I would like to inform you that your order is placed and the Iphone will be available in stock effective 16 september 2022. so once the phone is available in stock you will be notified and receive the tracking details and accoridngly you will receive the shipment.
rest assured I have mentioned the notes on the account for the same so that you will not face any issues."

Was on a SIMO, placed my order and received an xko order number via email at 13:03 (starting with 2) for an iPhone 14 Pro Max (256GB) in Silver.
Nothing since but I called up and the said the order was accepted however on the EE website (order tracking) it says the following:
Sorry, we can't show your order details right now.

Hi folks, I did my upgrade this afternoon, 14 Pro 256 in Space Black, via calling 150. Got through to a guy in Plymouth, not the quickest but eventually got the job done. I’ve had an email, but no order number, should I call them back to see if this has gone through properly?

Same here. Double-checked twice over the phone and app chat. And they are said that everything okay. But received only email with xko numbe. (+1 hour, I am in Germany now) 😀

I placed an upgrade that went through at 1.03. Got an email with my xko number in but online it said I was still eligible to upgrade. I live chatted with them and they said that the order hadn’t properly gone through and it would need to be made again.
I then spent an hour on the phone to the digital sales team and they had to reprocess the order to get it to progress. While I was on the phone I was sent a confirmation text and that had a link to the live tracker which shows a new order number and the delivery date as awaiting confirmation. When they reprocessed the order it was still showing as being a launch day deliver on the website so hoping that’s still the case.
If I wasn’t chasing it up I wouldn’t have known it was stuck in limbo.

So to follow up, just called 150 again, got through to someone very quickly who gave me an 02 tracking number, went to track to be met with a message saying that it can’t be tracked yet!

If your order number has 12 digits beginning XKN, tracking can take up to 24 hours to appear. Please see our How do I track my phone order? Help page.
If you would like to check the order, please get in touch with our mobile care team on 150 and they can check your account for you.

From what I understand if you place an order online you get a xko number which is confirmation that you ordered but isn’t actually set in stone on the system until you get a 00 number which means it all inputted and the system has accepted it fully

I’ve placed an order for an iPhone Pro Max 256gb Deep Purple. Completed order online about 13:10. £50 upfront fee has been taken from bank account and I’ve received email, albeit with XKO number (I’m sure this was the same last year). I’m assuming order will be ok 🤞

Received an order number beginning in 002. Tracked on the website and shows awaiting confirmation date… hopefully I’ll get it next Friday! 🎉
