Why is my sim on my new phone not working. It’s been 24 hours

I have this issue too.

I have tried restarting my phone 4 times, I am currently roaming in Europe and if I try to call any support numbers I get the message: "calls to this number are barred". 

Some other things I have recently transferred my number from Vodafone. I have also tried live chat but the pop up box does not appear on phone or laptop so I am completely stuck.

Did you register the SIM card while you were in the UK?

Is roaming and international calling enabled in the parental and data controls section of your My EE account?

I’ve tried switching the phone off and on and there’s no joy. I have also cleaned the sim
