Sim either not being recognised or not working properly

Got a new sim which worked fine for a couple months, now my phone only recognises it intermittently, sometimes I’ll turn it on and it’ll work for 5 minutes and then act as if the sims dead, it’ll normally recognise there’s a sim in the phone but will act as if it’s blank, no service whatsoever and my phone number also disappears from iPhone menus etc (iPhone 13)

OK, thanks for letting me know, @C_Carr

They should be able to help sort this out in-store. I suggest taking in some photo ID, in case they need to replace the SIM again.

Let us know how you get on please.

@C_Carr  Sounds like a faulty sim,  can you try that sim in a different phone ?  If it works ok in that device then it’s probably the phone that has the issue with the sim contacts.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Yea done some digging and I think it’s common with iPhone 13’s actually, will take it in to EE see if they can sort it maybe. Weird because I managed to change it to an E sim before it disappeared again and I’ve still got no service which makes me think it’s not the SIM card reader that’s broken. So yea maybe a dodgy sim. Thanks for the response

@C_Carr  if you’re using the eSIM and it’s nothing to do with the SIM card.    Have you tried a network reset on the device?

Sadly yes, will try that again though can’t hurt I guess

Chris
