New number with Apple Watch?

Hey, I have just ordered an Apple Watch Series 7. It says I will have a new number when it gets delivered. I don’t want a new number. Will this affect my phone?

Hi,

When I added watch sim - it does come with a separate number - I just called 150 & they update the watch sim - linking to my mobile - and has been fine…..,

so once you have the watch & add it ( activate data on watch ) - if this does not setup with your main number - then EE support easy fix this.

@Joneso9  The watch has its own number for billing purposes and so you can have a cellular data connection for the watch, the watch is linked at account level so when your phone rings so does your watch.

 No not at all just means you watch has it’s own number not your phone you don’t even see a SIM card just get the watch I’m on the same plane so can give out my watch number as well connect it to Bluetooth and talk to people or use the watch directly but yes it doesn’t change your phones number
